Hello there,

I am Julia Solak, a New York City based actress. Born in Germany to Serbian immigrant parents, I was raised in a bicultural environment that triggered my curiosity for the complexity of being human. Growing up bilingual, I developed an appreciation for storytelling and performance, it became a way of holding different perspectives at once, of listening more closely, of stepping into lives beyond my own. It sparked my curiosity about other people’s stories and taught me the quiet power of understanding, of showing up for one another and of being seen. That’s how I began my journey in theater.

My passion for the arts soon expanded in front of the camera, where I’ve worked as both an actress and a model. Alongside my creative passions, I earned degrees in psychology, a field that remains close to me and continues to influences my work, shaping my interest in human behavior, deepening my sense of empathy and guiding me toward telling honest, grounded stories. I’m deeply passionate about collaborating with like minded creatives to bring truth to life, stories that hold space for one another, that invite us to listen, to recognize ourselves in each other and to understand a little more deeply. The importance of art, and its ability to bring people together, continues to grow for me every day, especially in the world we live in now.

Now based in New York, I’m further honing my craft at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. In addition to acting, I also love to paint, using it as another way to express and explore my creativity.
